Reviews tab: Google reviews and written reviews

The Reviews tab helps you get Google reviews from happy customers and controls the reviews and star rating your website shows.

Add your Google reviews link first

In the Google reviews link panel, paste the link to your Google Business Profile, then press Save changes. This is where the See reviews on Google link on your website goes, and where review requests send people. Review requests can't be sent until it's saved.

Ask a customer for a Google review

  1. In the Ask for a review panel, press Add a customer. Enter their Customer name and their Mobile, Email or both. Or press Job done? Ask for a review on a lead to add them from the Leads tab.
  2. Press Save and write the message. A ready-written thank-you message opens. Change anything you like.
  3. Send it one of three ways:
    • Text it from my phone opens the message in your phone's texting app, ready to send.
    • Send by email emails it under your business name. Replies come straight to you.
    • Copy message copies it so you can paste it anywhere, such as WhatsApp or Messenger.

The message has two links: one to leave a Google review, and one to a private page where the customer can tell you what could have been better.

Your customer list

Each customer on your list shows where they're up to:

  • Not asked yet, or when and how you asked (for example by text or by email).
  • Opened the Google link: they tapped through to Google.
  • Sent you feedback: they used the private feedback page.

Press Ask again to send another request. Press the bin button to take someone off your list. Their review links then stop working, but any feedback they sent stays. If a customer has asked not to get review requests, the message window tells you, so don't send another.

Private feedback

The Private feedback panel shows what customers sent through the private link. Only you see it, it never shows on your website, and we email you when one comes in.

Star rating

If your Google rating is connected, the Star rating panel says so and your website shows your real Google rating, updated from Google. Nothing to enter.

If Google isn't connected, your website shows the rating you enter in Rating out of 5 and Number of reviews. Only enter a rating you can back up, such as your current Google rating, and keep it up to date. If you can't back one up, leave both boxes empty.

Written reviews on your website

The Written reviews panel is the list of reviews your website shows, exactly as listed. You can have up to 16.

  • Press Add a review, then fill in what the customer said, their Customer name and, if you like, their Suburb.
  • Press the bin button next to a review to remove it.
  • Only add real reviews from real customers. A review without both the words and a name isn't saved.

Press Save changes at the bottom when you're done. Saving replaces the whole list on your website. See when saved changes show on your website.
