Leads tab: quote requests from your website

The Leads tab lists everyone who has asked for a quote through your website. Call them back while the job is fresh.

What a lead shows

  • The customer's name and when they got in touch.
  • How urgent it is, if they said (for example Emergency, Within a few days or Flexible timing).
  • Where it came from, such as Quote request or Website chat, plus the job and suburb.
  • Would like: the day and time they asked for, when they picked one.
  • Their message, any photos of the job (tap a photo to open it full size), and their phone and email.

Contact a customer from a lead

  • Call rings them from your phone.
  • Text opens a new text message to them.
  • Email opens a new email to them.

Track each lead with Status

Use the Status menu on each lead: New, Contacted, Quoted, Won or Not going ahead. It saves as soon as you pick one. The buttons above your leads (All, New, Contacted, Quoted, Won, Not going ahead) show only the leads with that status, with a count on each.

Search, archive and download leads

  • Once you have five or more leads, a search box appears. Search by name, phone, suburb or job.
  • Archive moves a lead off your active list. Switch between Active and Archived at the top right. On an archived lead, Restore moves it back.
  • Download all (CSV) downloads your leads as a spreadsheet file you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.

Ask for a review when the job is done

Press Job done? Ask for a review on a lead. Ted adds the customer to your review list and opens a ready-written message on the Reviews tab. See Reviews tab for how sending works.

How you hear about new leads

The How you hear about new leads panel shows where alerts go:

  • Email: every quote request from your website is emailed to your account email.
  • Telegram: press Connect Telegram to also get each quote request as a message on your phone. When it's set up you will see Telegram connected. If the panel says Telegram isn't set up for your account, ask us and we will turn it on.

Ask Ted for a change

Next to your leads is the Ask Ted for a change box. Use it for anything you can't change yourself in the dashboard, or if something isn't right.

  1. Under What is it about? choose A change to my website or Help with something else.
  2. Write what you need in Your message.
  3. Press Send to Ted. A person reads it and gets back to you.
