Who we are

Ted is a done-for-you website and prospecting service for New Zealand tradespeople, operated by Airea ("Airea", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. It covers our website at ted.airea.co.nz and the services we provide.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Ted, we may collect:

• Details you give us — your name, business name, trade, suburb, phone number, email and logo when you request a preview, place an order or contact us.
• Enquiries to tradie sites — when a customer contacts a website we built (by quote form or live chat), we process that enquiry on the tradesperson's behalf and pass it to them.
• Billing information — subscription and payment details, handled by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
• Usage information — basic technical data such as pages visited and device type, used to keep the service working and improve it.

How we use your information

• To build, run and support your website and the Ted service.
• To deliver customer enquiries and chat messages to you.
• To take payment and manage your subscription.
• To contact you about your account, or — where you've asked us to — about your quote or a bespoke project.
• To keep the service secure and meet our legal obligations.

Sharing and third parties

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the service, and only as needed — for example payment processing, website hosting and delivery, email, and the messaging tools that route enquiries to you. Those providers are bound to protect your information. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies and links to keep the site working and to understand which of our own marketing links people follow. We don't use them to build advertising profiles of you.

Keeping your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it to provide the service and meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it's wrong. Email us and we'll help.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above always shows the current version.
